2 Year Old World

So this evening, I was test driving a Chevy truck and I took Caroline with me. Sounded like a simple enough task, but turns out that taking a 2 year old on a test drive adds a whole new level of fun. So first, it begins with moving the car seat...I hate moving the car seat...it's such a pain and of course any 2 year old doesn't think that it is fun to stand still while you are moving it. Then enters the car salesman...he's a different one than I had earlier....so far I want the other one back. He seems a bit annoyed with well life...this could be interesting with my 2 year old. Finally I get the car seat unhooked, the salesman carries it over for me (1 point for him), and I manage to get my 2 year old to stop dancing in the lot and climb in. Off we go...it starts out with Caroline screaming for a snack...new truck....messy 2 year old...nope not going to happen. Then as we keep driving she gives up on snack and moves to wanting the teddy bear that she dropped. Finally, car salesman throws me a bone and gets the bear for her (0 points since he only did it because I think he was afraid of me wrecking the truck if he didn't). Now a satisfied Caroline with her bear. Then she moves into something only a 2 year old would understand. She begins rocking back in forth in her seat banging her body against the back of the carseat giggling in delight the whole time. At this point I'm wondering if car salesman thinks that my child is crazy. The highlight of the trip though was when she took the banging to the next level and started singing I....want....a....snack. Even car salesman got a laugh out of this one. At the end 2 year old proclaims...I want to keep this truck FOREVER. All of this happening within 5 minutes tops...she definitely knows how to make a short trip a memorable event.
