Christmas Morning

Deacon really got into the decorating the spirit this year. He helped me decorate several trees, and didn't see a problem if the ball didn't have a hook. He would just shove it onto the tip of the tree.
Deacon coming down Christmas morning.
All the goodies that Santa left.

Aggie football helmet and a Peter Pan sword...what a combo.

Daddy and Deacon are ready for battle with their swords and shields.

Deacon was so excited about his new pirate treasures.

Mimi and Pawpaw

She loved her shopping cart, but I'm afraid giving her this much extra practice might backfire on me one day.
Little Caroline couldn't decide if she wanted to open presents or go back to bed. She was still tired from the night before!

Reading her new book with Mama.

She found the rest of the Santa's cookies. If he wasn't going to finish them she would. :)

Christmas Catchup

Since I got behind on my blogging once again, I'm going to put all of the Christmas events into one post. :)

The kids coordinating Christmas Outfits!
Deacon getting ready for his School Christmas Program...which involved roughing up monsters.

Caroline showing off her favorite silver boots!

Caroline's Preschool Class. No surprise that she didn't sing any of her songs....she couldn't even say the words Merry Christmas much less sing them, but she did shake her bells.

Deacon's class. He didn't do much singing either, but did have a great time waving and looking at himself on the big screen. :) (One of our friends was running the camera and the kids could see what was being recorded on the camera on 2 big screens on either side of the stage.)

I know what you are thinking...pirate costumes aren't for Christmas....except when you have a Daddy who builds a 20 foot pirate ship to put in a Christmas Parade of Lights.

Here is the back half of the ship. The youth band played songs the whole time.

The family rode in the truck. It took us about 2 hours to go about 10 miles. The kids did great until the end. Caroline was so ready to get out we were trying anything including letting her drive.
