Deacon's First Youth Trip

There was a really fun tree that we found to take pictures with. This was at the Youth Fall Retreat and Deacon and I got to go for the first time.

Deacon and I on the tree again.

Here he is climbing the tree with his Pawpaw. We were in East Texas so Mimi and Pawpaw couldn't resist stopping by for a little while.

This was Deacon's favorite thing to do. He probably played basketball more than anything else the whole weekend.

Pawpaw was trying to help him shoot the ball in the basket. It never worked, but he had a lot of fun and wore us all out lifting him up to try.

This was back in Houston. If you look really hard at his hood there a couple of snowflakes. It doesn't snow very often here so we had to take advantage of it while it was.

More Pumpkins and Halloween

We went to the aquarium in Houston and outside they had the biggest pumpkin! I took a picture with Pawpaw.

We went to a Fall Festival at a local church. Deacon is still scared of the blow-up jumping toys, but he did love the petting zoo with the goats and miniature horses.

Here is a Deacon with his I love Mummy shirt. :)

Everyone debated all night if the costume was an alligator or dinosaur, but with a face like that...he was just cute. :)

This is Deacon's buddy Jonathan. His dad is the new music minister at the church and Jonathan and Deacon are only 10 days apart! They have a lot of fun playing together.

Here is Deacon with Captain Redbeard (a local celebrity), but we like to call him Daddy.

Now Deacon gets to trunk or treat with Mommy before we brave the craziness inside where the games are.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch in Wichita Falls while we were visiting Ginger and Raley. They had a cute wagon that you could take pictures on.

Aren't they cute together? If only you saw right after the picture was taken when Deacon pushed Raley down. :)

Ginger and I thought that this would make for some cute pictures as the kids walked back over the bridge. We underestimated the power of a toddler.

Deacon ended up in the pond while I was snapping one last picture of Ginger and Raley. He was fine, but definitely not excited about being wet.

The Blog

Well the Russell Family web site is now being converted to a blog. I figure there is no reason to pay anymore and it will be more fun if you can leave comments. I have also been terrible lately about updating the site with Deacon photos so in the next week or so I plan on updating all of the highlights that you have missed over the past several months.
