Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving, Grammie, Poppy, and Uncle Davide came to Houston. We even got a family picture in....barely.

Caroline with her turkey shirt.

Getting ready to eat and Deacon is not in a picture mood...notice the bottom lip.

The table set and ready to eat.

Deacon and Daddy playing online before lunch is ready.

Uncle David carving the turkey.

Halloween

On Halloween night we went to Copperfield Church where they had their Trunk or Treat. Deacon was a pirate, as usual, and Caroline was a fairy princess. Daddy agreed that Caroline could be something different than a pirate so Mommy decided to go girly while I can. :) Plus it was too much fun making her flops and bow to go with it.

Those poofy flops make me smile....and a cute baby wearing it all helps too.
Caroline and Pawpaw. He took her over to pet the animals at the petting zoo, but couldn't get Deacon off of the boat to go with him.

He did get off of the boat to fight Seth....a pirate and a Jedi....who would win that battle?

Daddy taking a quick break for a photo opportunity.

Daddy aka Captain Red Beard at work. He built a pirate ship, yes a real pirate ship that is 25 ft. long and had the youth pirate band playing on it. Captain Red Beard also built in some fun for him with an air cannon that shot candy out at the kids. Deacon never left the boat the whole time we were there and it was the hit with all of the kids. They would crowd around just waiting for the next shot of candy. The funniest part to me is that for at least the week after whenever we went somewhere in town I would hear kids whispering...look it's that Pirate Red Beard.

Caroline and Mimi walking around.

Caroline and Pacey....two little fairies.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch at a Christmas Tree farm in early October. They had a train ride for the kids and lots and lots of pumpkins....it turned out to be a really hot day so we had to opt for shorts and sandals to go with their halloween shirts.

Caroline loved the pumpkins. She wanted to push them all over the farm that day.

Deacon thought that they made great seats and just wanted to run from thing to thing at the farm.
