Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving, Grammie, Poppy, and Uncle Davide came to Houston. We even got a family picture in....barely.

Caroline with her turkey shirt.

Getting ready to eat and Deacon is not in a picture mood...notice the bottom lip.

The table set and ready to eat.

Deacon and Daddy playing online before lunch is ready.

Uncle David carving the turkey.

Halloween

On Halloween night we went to Copperfield Church where they had their Trunk or Treat. Deacon was a pirate, as usual, and Caroline was a fairy princess. Daddy agreed that Caroline could be something different than a pirate so Mommy decided to go girly while I can. :) Plus it was too much fun making her flops and bow to go with it.

Those poofy flops make me smile....and a cute baby wearing it all helps too.
Caroline and Pawpaw. He took her over to pet the animals at the petting zoo, but couldn't get Deacon off of the boat to go with him.

He did get off of the boat to fight Seth....a pirate and a Jedi....who would win that battle?

Daddy taking a quick break for a photo opportunity.

Daddy aka Captain Red Beard at work. He built a pirate ship, yes a real pirate ship that is 25 ft. long and had the youth pirate band playing on it. Captain Red Beard also built in some fun for him with an air cannon that shot candy out at the kids. Deacon never left the boat the whole time we were there and it was the hit with all of the kids. They would crowd around just waiting for the next shot of candy. The funniest part to me is that for at least the week after whenever we went somewhere in town I would hear kids whispering...look it's that Pirate Red Beard.

Caroline and Mimi walking around.

Caroline and Pacey....two little fairies.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch at a Christmas Tree farm in early October. They had a train ride for the kids and lots and lots of pumpkins....it turned out to be a really hot day so we had to opt for shorts and sandals to go with their halloween shirts.

Caroline loved the pumpkins. She wanted to push them all over the farm that day.

Deacon thought that they made great seats and just wanted to run from thing to thing at the farm.

Deacon and His New Woman

This is Deacon and Hannah. The 2nd day of school, I went to pick him up and as we got Deacon's backpack I heard someone crying. It turned out it was Hannah all because Deacon was leaving and that is where it all began. The next week we went to pick him up and thought that we were seeing double, until we discovered that Hannah is an identical twin...nice my son is already going after the identical twins his Dad is quite proud.
Today was Hannah and Vannessa's birthday and so we went up to the Woodlands to their party at the children museum there. Little did I know that he would end up being the guest of honor. As soon as the girls saw him, both were so excited and saying...Deacon, Deacon, Deacon. Then their Mom explained to me how Hannah really has a crush on Deacon and always wants to know where Deacon is. Once it became time for opening presents, they opened Deacon's first. After they got done they came over and gave Deacon a hug...or at least tried to. As they were walking over their Mom was instructing the Dad to take a picture of this...and Deacon was running circles around me trying to get away. To top it all off, one of their grandmothers came over and asked what my sons name was....when I replied Deacon. She said Oh that's Deacon and then gave a little smile. I'm a little scared to see what 16 looks like if it is getting this serious at 3!

Caroline Walked!

I had the kids out in the cul de sac playing. Caroline went over to the grassy part and was crawling around. I was talking to another neighbor, when I looked over and she had decided to stand up on her own and then just took a couple of steps. She fell down, so I stood her up again and she took a few more steps. So strange that she decided to walk on some of the hardest terrain to balance on!

4th of July

This was Caroline's crab crawl. It was her solution to get around on the concrete without walking.

We had lots of fun playing with fireworks. Deacon chased us around the culdesac with snap n pops.

Popping a party streamer.

Mimi and Caroline in the back while Pawpaw is grilling.

Caroline 9 Months

I decided that this time I would try taking the pictures myself. So with a little help from Mimi this is what we came up with.
